PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Rentrak Corporation today announced that its OnDemand Essentials(TM) Content Provider site now includes CMT, Hallmark Channel (content from Crown Media library), Logo, Playboy TV, TV Guide SPOT and Warner Home Video On Demand studio as new customers which have signed on for multi-year deals.

OnDemand Essentials will play a key role in the more accurate measurement and analysis of on demand content use for each of the six new Content Provider site subscribers. Examples of how the new customers will be utilizing OnDemand Essentials' features include: CMT, Logo, Hallmark Channel and TV Guide SPOT (Watch This and Big Movie Guide which highlight the best shows and movies on television each week) to measure their respective Free On Demand (FOD) content; Playboy TV to track use of Movies on Demand (MOD) and Subscription VOD (SVOD) content; and Warner Home Video On Demand to track motion pictures offered via Movies On Demand (MOD) such as Batman Begins and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

With the addition of CMT, Hallmark Channel, Logo, Playboy TV, TV Guide SPOT and Warner Home Video On Demand, Rentrak now has nineteen content view subscribers that are using OnDemand Essentials' Content Provider site to access daily VOD content performance data in multiple ways, across cable multiple system operators (MSOs) or by specific MSO.

Content owners have access to reports such as Performance By Title, Audience Sharing, Weekly Top Titles and Competitive Performance by Network Category. Data, including the four data points that operators have approved to be shared with advertisers (VOD enabled universe, Total orders, Unique set top box orders, and Total minutes viewed) can be downloaded from the secured web site into Excel spreadsheets for offline use.

Rentrak now counts among its subscriber customers a total of nineteen content providers, including ten Viacom properties (CMT, Logo, Paramount Studios, CBS, MTV, Nickelodeon, Noggin, The N, Comedy Central, VH1), Expo TV, Music Choice, National Geographic Channel, NFL Network and Ripe TV.
